A visit to the world-famous attractions of Portsmouth Historic Dockyard is made even more memorable when you visit during A Victorian Festival of Christmas and is the perfect way to begin your seasonal preparations and celebrations! 2013 sees the 14th year of this festive weekend.
We will be announcing new features later on in the year but you can be sure that our host of traditional and deliciously saucy characters
will return to provide fun and entertainment at every turn. These include; Fagin’s Tavern with its unique blend of Music Hall style
entertainment, Reindeer, and our
traditional Father Christmas (dressed in green).
Some comments from our 2012 visitors:
'We had a wonderful day and so much going on, another successful year.'
'What a wonderful day we had! Best day out for years would recommend to everyone.'
'Everyone involved in this event i.e. dockyard staff, events organisers, stall holders and security were absolutely brilliant. The atmosphere was friendly, fun and everyone appeared to be having a great time. Lots to see and do! Well done to all!'
'Went to this event yesterday on a coach trip and had a brilliant day out. So much to do and everyone had gone to so much trouble with the costumes and little touches like the Victorian washing line! The snowy streets were great and there were loads of places to buy food and drink on the street. The atmosphere in Fagin's Bar was also fun and we toured around the Warrior and Victory.'
