A Victorian Festival of Christmas 2012
And what a fantastic weekend we had...!
Once again A Victorian Festival of Christmas, produced the superb atmosphere and the unique blend of shopping and entertainment which has become its hallmark.
New for this year was the addition of a cookery theatre where Susie Carter, Hampshire Life recipe columnist and 2008 winner of ITV’s Britain’s Best Dish was cooking traditional Victorian Christmas recipes featuring locally grown ingredients and joined by some fantastic local chefs over the course of the festival. Collaborating for the first time at an indoor vintage market hall, Love Southsea and Southsea Boutique Market showcased local traders, plus there was the chance to meet baby Reindeer, Bubble and Squeak, who were in training for Christmas Eve, visit new sets in the Dickensian snowy street and enjoy new performers and entertainment as well as the regular favourites.
Photos and feedback have been flooding in via our social media sites:
Thank you so much for a wonderful day. My husband, granddaughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our day and laughed so much. Those angels really are something else. Looking forward to next year now.
