About The Victorian Festival of Christmas:
A Victorian Festival of Christmas at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard is celebrating its 13th year as one of the most successful, seasonal events on the South Coast.
The event consistently attracts more than 26,000 visitors over the three day period. Visitors thoroughly enjoy the experience and return year after year whilst our extensive marketing campaign attracts new visitors.
Portsmouth Historic Dockyard is home to such world famous ships / attractions as HMS Victory, the National Museum of the Royal Navy and HMS Warrior 1860. These are set in the beautiful historic dockyard which includes 18th & 19th century storehouses and boathouses.
At the event visitors can go on board / within all the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard attractions, enjoy entertainment from a cast of hundreds of Victorian characters, visit Santa, have a pint in Fagin’s Tavern, get snowed on in the Victorian Street as well as shop at over 150 quality stalls selling Christmas gifts galore. To book your trading position:
If you make or sell high quality individual items that are not readily available in the shops, you may qualify as a trader for the Victorian Festival of Christmas market.
We are looking for a mix of traditional Christmas merchandise, such as decorations, festive food, drinks, preserves, cheeses, pies, nuts, olives, cakes, wooden toys, accessories, clothing, glassware, handmade jewellery etc. In fact any low volume produced items you just can't buy in the regular shops suitable as a Christmas present.
Our aim is to create a unique Christmas shopping experience. So don’t miss out – apply to be considered for a trading position now…
